Nannies and Domestic Employees
Do you hire a Nanny or Domestic Employee to help with childcare? Are you confident that they are skilled at supporting your child's optimal long-term development?
Many parents in Mexico have shared that the domestic support they access here has greatly enriched their lives. Nannies and Domestic Employees often provide a high quality and highly valued service. However these women have at times had limited access to formal education. They may also have culturally varied approaches when it comes to setting limits and supporting children's emotional, psychological, physical and social development.
We offer a four-part training program for Nannies/Domestic Employees. They will receive one-to-one training with a psychologist and early childhood specialist.
This program is delivered in Spanish and information is presented in an easy-to-understand yet comprehensive way. It draws on current best-practice guidelines for childcare including positive parenting practices. The program is delivered in a culturally-sensitive manner by female, Mexican psychologists.
